Norah had a marvelous discovery this evening, but sadly, due to Mommy's lack of photo taking skill, you'll have to use your imagination a little bit. Just after dinner, Norah went into the dark kitchen and found her shadow waiting for her on the dishwasher door. While the shadow is not visible (due to my aforementioned lack of photography prowess), I still thought the pictures were worth sharing.

Hey...who's that? I don't recall seeing that dark figure on the dishwasher door before now.

Aaaaaaaaa! It moves when I move! Creepy!

When I touch it, it touches me back. That's funny...I don't
feel anything....

Check it out! She knows "Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes", too! This girl might not be too bad. She's about my size too. This could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

Hey!? Where'd she go? Maybe if I wait here I can jump up and surprise her when she gets back.....Still waiting...

By the way, did you happen to notice that for the duration of this post I've been walking on the tile floors with NO SHOES? Yeah, I figured if that shadow kid could hack it, so can I.

So precious! On a side note...how do you get her to keep her pigtails in? I put Aidan's hair up and she inevitably pulls them out. I have tons of cute little hair accessories and she won't let me do anything with her hair! Help!
I use teeny, tiny clear plastic rubber bands, and as any of her Bible Class teachers can tell you, she pulls them out her fair share of the time.
Lately, she seems to have given in to leaving them alone. (I chalk it up to persistence) I always make sure to tell her how pretty she looks right after I fix them (sometimes I even show her in the mirror), and then give a stern "No, no!" if I see her messing with them.
I LOVE the shadow pictures. I hope she has fun with her new friend for a long time.
Way cute! See, I posted :)
