No Room at the Inn...

The doctor's visit went well...baby brother's heart rate is great and he has a "strong kick", according to my doctor (apparently, he tried to fight her off while she was giving me my exam). She also said that all my vitals are looking good to go for delivery. One minor hitch....the hospital is already booked for the 21st (they have to keep x number of beds empty, just in case someone goes into labor on their own), so they've moved my induction date to...drum roll please....December 24th. I found it mildly humorous that in the season we celebrate Jesus' birth, I too, was hit with a "no room at the inn" situation. One thing is for certain--this will be a Christmas Eve/Day we will always have a very special memory of! (Unless of course, baby brother decides to come before then, in which case, one of those vacant beds will be waiting just for me!)

Thanks for the update! Maybe if you blog everything you won't have to answer so many questions (from Nosy Nellies like me) over and over again.=) Well, you can try it anyway.

I'm glad you found some humor with the "no room at the inn" situation. At least you know for sure that you'll be in a bed delivering and not on hay with animals (and their smells surrounding) you. Poor, sweet, Mary.

Hang in there! We can't wait to meet baby boy!! :)

Yea! An actual Christmas baby! That's exciting! But I'm kinda hoping he comes sooner so I can come see you at the hospital! :O)

Aack! A Christmas baby?!? I'm really surprised that your doc is doing it then, I thought most docs didn't want to have to come into work on holidays. Best of luck to y'all, here's hoping for a smooth and quick labor and delivery.

How exciting! Philip was a "Christmas time" baby - born on the 22nd. It is such a fun time to have the baby - they put him in a giant stocking when they brought him to the room, and had CHristmas color caps for him! You are going to love it!!

How cool to have a Christmas baby! We're planning our third right now and I keep thinking about when we should plan to TTC to space out the birthdays. Hope it all goes well!

Haha! That was funny Denise! I'm sure everything will work out, whether you have him sooner or later. But, I know you can hardly wait to meet him...we're all on the edge of our seats!

I'm so excited for you. Boys are so much fun and Norah is going to be such a great big sister but an even better 'mommy-in-training'. How could she not with you to lead by example!
