Sorry these aren't photos of the kids...those are coming (as soon as I can remember where I put the camera). Instead, here are a few of my sewing projects from Christmas '07.

This is a quilt I made for my mom and dad. (Yes, Denise, I actually finished it!) It is a king, so, unfortunately, I couldn't really get a good photo of it in it's entirety. There are two more borders outside of the brown-- the first is forest green, and the second is gold/tan. Mom loved it so much, she's gearing up to paint her bedroom a coordinating shade of green! (It's on my bed in the photo)

My little sis requested a shirt with her childhood nickname ("Manda Panda") on it...this was what I came up with. (I fell in love with the green and blue fabrics when I saw them at Lonestar Quiltworks, which recently relocated much closer to our house!)

This was an initial t-shirt ordered by a friend as a Christmas gift. (More fabric from Lonestar...)

These three shirts were special-ordered from Abilene as Christmas gifts. The red shirt was actually for a soon-to-be newborn, so I had to wait until he arrived to put his "surprise" name (which, by the way, I love, Meg) on it.

The family's last name is Knight and each year they send out a Christmas card with a Knight/Night play on words ("Silent Knight", "I'm Dreaming of a Knight Christmas", etc.) so I thought these shirts were a very clever and thoughtful gift. They were not my idea--the concept and sketches for the shirts were dreamed up by Kelly McDonald, a friend of the gift recipient.

Wow!!! You got a KING sized quilt done, wrangled an almost 2 year old and HAD A BABY!! I feel like a loser now. ;)
How did Norah like her apron and pink goodies?
Tara--Don't sell yourself short...the quilt was a work in progress that just happened to come to a close just before Christmas (I think it was a result of that magical "nesting" stage of pregnancy)...in actuality, I'd been working on it for nearly 2 years--not nearly as impressive now, right?
And as for the pink goodies and apron...Norah was in HEAVEN...which reminds me, I need to send you some pictures of her opening/enjoying them. Thank you SO much!
Holy cow. Looking at all that makes me tired.
The king quilt, I don't care how long it took, is very impressive.
Great, precious work! Let's hope little Eli allows for lots of great sewing time, too!!!
That quilt is GORGEOUS! I love it. And to think, I'm intimidated by a baby quilt! :)
Wow! There aren't words for how adorable the boys shirts are! I love them so much! Definitely one of the best gifts they received this Christmas! You and Kelly were so sneaky...I'm very impressed! Sorry we held out so long on Will's name. We truly weren't trying to keep it a secret. In actuality, it was still somewhat of a secret to us. :) Thank you, thank you , thank you for all of the work you put into the adorable shirts for each of our boys. They are true keepsakes in my book!
good job. i'm telling you...e-bay!! i still love my shirt by the way.
Thanks again for making those shirts for the Knight boys. They turned out so cute! I must admit that looking at all the cute things you have made has inspired me to give sewing a try again. Thanks for the inspiration. :)
Congratulations on sweet Eli. He looks just precious and it seems that Norah likes her new brother - always a good thing! Good luck as you adjust to having 2!
