Upon emerging from the back of the house, where I had been getting ready, I thwarted what I thought might have been Norah's first recorded attempt to get rid of her baby brother. In case you can't quite tell, those are address labels slathered all over his noggin.
After a little consideration however, I decided that since the labels were addressed to our home, Norah wasn't trying to ship Eli out, but rather to identify him as a member of our household, in case he is ever misplaced.(much like the casserole dishes in our cabinet, which bear similar address labels for identification at church potlucks),

Apparently, she wanted to make
very certain everyone knew to whom he belongs.

And Eli, was very grateful for his big sister's concern. I felt sorry for the little guy, as the removal of the stickers further diminished what little hair he has, but he was a trooper and only cried for a minute. I can't wait to see what other sibling shenanigans will transpire over the course of their childhood!

By the way, the Tippens shower cake was great!! It looked and tasted wonderfully. Thanks so much.
What sweet kids. I can't believe how fast they grow. I have loved Sydney's "S" shirt. I'm going to be sad when she outgrows it.
