Last night as I was getting N ready for bed, she begged me (for the third time this week) to let her wear these striped tights. After telling her on the previous 2 nights, I decided to give in. After all, maybe she gets cold at night? (It is August in Central Texas, you know, so it's totally possible)After I helped her pull them on and got her pjs in place, she did a little fashionista spin and proclaimed, "Look, Mama! I'm a little sock monkey!"
Yeah, she's trying to tell me something. And I'm not gonna be that mom that sews for everyone else and deprives my own child, so....

"Norah, this sock monkey is for YOU"
She's totally smitten...
But not too smitten to use it as fishing bait! (Which is what she explained to me when I asked her what she was doing sitting on the fireplace, dangling monkey by her tail)
