So much has transpired since I last blogged (including the death of our laptop power cord, which resulted in a longer-than-planned blogging break). I'll attempt to play picture catch up this week...so for my first installment...Heeeere's Sweetie!

After our great success with sponge rollers a few weeks back (I am gaging "success" by Norah's 1)ability to sit still long enough for me to roll her hair and 2)her keeping the majority of said rollers in her hair until I removed them) we decided to try another new look...velcro rollers! (For those who are curious, I am not attempting to give Norah a "Shirley Temple" complex...her hair is still so fine that rolling it doesn't really achieve any kind of body/curl...but we have fun playing "beauty shop" just the same)

While I was working on her hair, Norah discovered that the largest rollers made for great bracelets (should I worry that she's already channeling punk rock style at age 2?). Pleased with her unique accessories and "new do", she assumed an imaginary persona, dubbed herself "Sweetie" and proceeded to prance around the house with a strangely endearing level of "priss-osity" (sometimes I invent my own words, which, by the way, spell check loves).
After she made a few laps down the catwalk (ie--our hallway), we decided to unveil her look to her via the bathroom mirror. Jason carried her in and stoodher on the counter...

Oh man, Aidan LOVES looking in the mirror and MUST look at herself when we tell her she looks pretty. I haven't tried curlers yet. I can't believe I used to sit still enough at this age to get my hair curled with a curling iron! Aidan and I both would be covered in burns!
Adorable! I just love girly stuff.
My daughter would never stay still long enough to put rollers in her hair.
Where's the finished product? :-)
Sweetie is a cutie! How fun and girlie! I wouldn't really know about that stuff at my house.
too cute! i love norah's randomness(sweetie)...it always makes me laugh. so does she just like wearing rollers to look in the mirror...or does she let you leave them in long enough to make her hair curly?
